Girls_aug_2013webIt is amazing that the new school year is already upon us. The summer went by too quickly. Our girls started their classes last Monday and most of the boys’ classes have started for the fall. Jamie will continue to participate in gymnastics following in Lynn’s footsteps. Julie will be playing on the girls soccer team for Circle Christian. We are waiting on Jeremy to see if he will be participating in drama again this year. Justin, as a senior, will continue to play soccer for Circle Christian.

Ministry Update

training_trackswebThe new school year brings new opportunities and challenges for us in ministry. Lynn continues to work on simple training tracks for our different leaders. She is leading the efforts to identify the “irreducible minimum” that a leader (student, volunteer, staff, or otherwise) needs to be able to walk on campus and do Win-Build-Send ministry with Cru High School. She is also making sure our new staff are being equipped to share the love of Christ with students and navigate the adults (teachers, coaches, parents, etc) associated with them.

cru_high_school_aug2013webDave has been busy helping with our new ministry Web site http://www.CruHighSchool.com and also looking into replacing the database of the Web site, which he designed fourteen years ago.  As you may remember, the new Web site has been a project combining our two major Web sites (GoCampus.org and StudentVenture.com) into one. The Web site is almost done, but please pray that we can get all the links connected, correct, etc.

As some of you heard about this summer, Dave has been piloting some training videos. He has teamed up with a 30 year veteran in Cru High School ministry. Here is an example of one of them, “School within a School”.
