Wow! February has flown by for us. Perhaps it is because Dave and Lynn attended the high school leadership conference the first week of the month. Then, just two weeks later, Dave went to the Campus ministry’s Leadership conference. Plus, we both had our birthdays. In addition to two conferences, we have been busy with the kids’ school and other activities. Fortunately, March should not be quite as busy.
Starting in late December and lasting through this past weekend, the high school ministry has held a number of Fastbreak Conferences all across the country. It has been exciting to hear all the stories about how the Lord worked in students’ lives during these events. A number of students have come to know Jesus as Savior. Others have made commitments to follow Christ wholeheartedly or to help reach their schools with the gospel. For the first time in several years, Dave and Lynn had a chance to participate briefly in the Florida Fastbreak. It was great to be around the students and see their energy and enthusiasm.
One of the goals Dave has had for quite a while is to see some of our materials, brochures, videos, etc. translated into Spanish. A couple of months ago, he began praying in earnest that the Lord would provide someone with time to really focus on this project. One Friday, at a men’s breakfast, God answered Dave’s prayer. Ali volunteered to help when he learned what Dave was doing. So far, several crucial documents and brochures have been translated to Spanish. Now Dave, Ali, and several others are working on getting a couple of videos translated. All of these resources will help us see more students reached with the gospel.
Thanks for the crucial role you play in seeing students reached for Christ.
