Harvest Workers

Personal News:

KidsHappy New Year!  Justin started his new college semester and continues to referee soccer to help pay for college expenses. He wants to graduate debt free. Jeremy is beginning to put down all his college deposits to have everything in place to attend college in the fall. Julie has finished her high school soccer season and has moved right over playing club soccer. Jamie has been conditioning and practicing her level 5 and level 6 routines for gymnastics.

Ministry Update:

One of our prayers for the middle and high school ministry of Cru is that God would raise up additional laborers for the ministry.  “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Matthew 9:38). Over 18,000 college students who recently attended a Christmas conference heard about the opportunities to have a ministry to middle or high schools students.  As a result, over 700 students signed up to learn more about how they could reach out to teenagers across America. CruWould you pray with us as we follow up these students and help them  discern God’s will for their future. We are trusting that the Lord will lead many of them to serve in the high school ministry.

This month we have been preparing for our leadership conference, which will be held the first week of February.  Some of the topics that we will be  addressing with our staff as they work with students across nation are: how do we continue to develop a multi-ethnic focus, how do we keep recruiting as a focus, and how do we help navigate the culture we live in?

Thanks so much for your investment in helping reach this generation for Christ.

Dave & Lynn
