New Leader’s Conference

Personal News

Happy November and an early Happy Thanksgiving! We are really hoping that this month brings us some more fall like weather. It has been super hot for this time of year. We are also looking forward to some much needed downtime over Thanksgiving. It will be nice to have Justin home to celebrate with us.

Ministry Update

One of the highlights of Lynn’s staff career has been the times she has been able to spend with the new staff and interns. She loves their enthusiasm and youth as well as their commitment to help see students reached with the good news of the gospel.

Recently, Lynn spent five days in Indianapolis overseeing the high school ministry’s second annual New Leader’s Conference. Young men and women from throughout the country came for three purposes – to see, learn, and connect. Lynn and her design team’s goal was that each participant would see God move in both their own and students’ lives. They hoped that those in attendance would learn from the classroom sessions and practical ministry opportunities they had as well as from other staff. Finally, it was hoped that the new staff would connect with the Lord and each other, building lasting relationships.

Those attending the New Leader’s Conference had several opportunities for ministry. These included three major outreaches, including two fifty foot banana split outreaches at which students built and ate banana splits that were built in separate bowls in a fifty foot piece of gutter. A number of students came to Christ at these events. Please pray that these young leaders would stay involved in the Lord’s work for a lifetime.

Thanks so much for your impact on this generation.
