Fall is always a busy time as school starts and more activities get added to the calendar. Between school activities, youth group/Bible studies, sporting events, and ministry responsibilities, there is always something going on. This past weekend Julie had two soccer games, and Jamie had her second gymnastics meet of the season. It was a also a great birthday weekend for Jamie as she turned 12 and took first place in all-round competition at the gymnastics meet.
As you know, we have the privilege of sitting on the Executive Team of the high school ministry of Cru. It has been an exciting month as we heard the reports of what God is doing through our staff and volunteers in the high school ministry.
Six of our summer 2015 new staff have already completed their initial support and have been cleared to report to their assignments. Pray for Lynn as she continues to coordinate the training of these and other staff, interns, and volunteers.
Large turn outs for our Cru student meetings.
Fishers High School had over 300 students at their first meeting. Last night 43 students indicated they accepted Christ at another outreach event.
God brought 117 Lake Nona High School students to Cru yesterday. This is more than double last year’s typical crowd.
It is exciting to see the Lord drawing so many students to Himself
Ministry Outreach Reports
Four of the 20 Lake Nona Middle School students who heard the gospel at last Friday’s first Cru indicated that they placed their trust in Jesus.
This past week Kirk, who will soon be moving to Orlando to lead the high school ministry here, helped do his last football team meeting at Morton Ranch, a school he helped to launch. At the team meeting, 35 young men prayed to receive Jesus and 45 showed up to the first follow up Bible study.
Thanks so much for your impact on this generation.
Dave & Lynn
- Pray for Lynn as she provides leadership for the New Leader’s Conference for our new Cru, high school staff and interns which will be held next month in Indianapolis.
- Pray for Lynn as she continues to coordinate the training of these and other staff, interns, and volunteers. She leads a monthly call to equip the trainers.
- Pray for Dave as he rolls out a new tool that will be used to reach students for Christ.
