Mentoring

Personal NewsJustin

This has been a busy birthday month in the Meritt home. Both Dave and Lynn celebrated birthdays this month. We have also had the chance to go visit Justin in Tallahassee. He wants to move off campus and escape dorm food, so we spent time looking for an apartment for him. We think we have found a complex that he will enjoy.

Ministry Update

Angie & LynnThanks for your prayers as we helped lead and attend a couple of leadership conferences this month. One of the highlights for Lynn was connecting with Angie who attended our national Cru – high school leadership conference.

For the past year and a half, a group of young Cru – high school leaders have been participating in Missional Team Leader training. One of the aspects of this training has involved a mentoring relationship.

Lynn has had the privilege of mentoring Angie. She works with the high school ministry in Houston, balancing motherhood, homeschooling and ministry. She and her husband have a great heart for seeing students reached here in the U.S. and overseas. They are currently praying about the next leadership role that the Lord may be calling them to.

Video clipIt has been a joy to see Angie grow and develop this past year and a half. Lynn has been encouraged and challenged along the way. We are sharing a link to what Angie had to share recently about their time. We hope you are encouraged by it.

Thanks so much for allowing us to coach and mentor staff who in turn impact students around the U.S. and the world.
