High school soccer season is in full swing for us. Either Justin or Julie has a soccer practice every weekday night. Julie’s first game is November 1st and Justin’s is November 5th. We are glad that Dave’s dad will be joining us soon for three months. He is again driving from Oregon to spend time here in Florida. We will definitely need an extra driver with all the kids’ activities 🙂
This past weekend Lynn helped with a special wives’ weekend for some of our emerging leaders’ wives. It was the kick-off event for an eighteen month process where the senior leadership will mentor some of the younger Cru High School staff women.
Kurt, Angie’s husband, recently held an outreach with the freshmen football team. This story is only one of many from outreaches that are happening across the nation.
Eighty-five freshmen boys squeezed their bodies, pads and all, into the team meeting room. The pep talk after practice wasn’t given by their football coach but instead by Cru staff member, Kirk Freeman.
Kirk, a former Division 2 football player, spoke on finding balance and success in high school. Then he proceeded to outline the message of salvation through Christ on a flip chart.
On comment cards after the talk, fifty-one freshmen from Morton Ranch High indicated that they placed their faith in Jesus for the first time.
We appreciate the impact YOU are making in students’ lives.

- Continue to pray for the new training videos that Dave is working on.
- Please pray for the follow-up of all the students that have trusted Christ as a result of fall sports’ outreaches across the country
- Continue to pray for our financial partnership. Thank you to those of you who have increased your monthly support. We are still pursuing new partners but also are raising some much needed special gifts.
