Giving Thanks – Nov 2011

Dear Friends,

All too often, we fail to thank God for all He does in and around us. So, we pause this month to offer thanks.

Thanking God for all that He is doing in the body of Christ

Chart showing all ministiesDave spent a lot of his time this past month analyzing and reporting where the body of Christ stands on reaching youth around the United States. Youth for Christ, Young Life, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Youth Alive (Assemblies of God), Student Venture, K-Life, The Urban Alternative, and Moms in Touch all provided information showing where God is at work in the local middle and high schools in America. It is exciting to see that there are over 25,000 ministries targeting young people for Christ. Dave continues to give the presentations about his finding of the status youth ministry to other executive leaders within Campus Crusade.

Thanking God for how He uses students around the world

Between the college and high school ministries of Campus Crusade there were over 4,000 students that attended a summer mission project. As a result, the students led 8,178 people to a personal relationship with Christ. Almost 120,000 people were exposed to the gospel of Christ. Praise God for all the reports of how God used the students this last summer. If you know someone that is interested, applications are being accepted for next year’s summer projects. Thanking God for our family catching the vision to reach others

Jamie sharingOver the years we have highlighted different ways our children have sought to reach others for Christ. This time it is Jamie’s turn. Last week she started talking to some of the neighbor kids about church. The next thing Lynn knew, she was asking for Bible verses to share with them. She also showed them the evangecube (a visual presentation of the gospel) and had several who watched part of the Jesus Film for Kids with her. It is encouraging to see her heart.

Thank you for the difference you are making in the lives of students all over the world!

Dave and Lynn
